Attendee FAQ

  • What can I expect at an Artist Lodge event?
    • Our Artist Lodge events have a variety of activities that happen throughout the night. We typically have a pop-culture themed art gallery that has work from 60-70 contributing artists, 40-60 art and handmade vendors, art workshops, live cosplay drawing sessions, a raffle, a scavenger hunt, and live music provided by our talented friends 8-Bit Jazz Heroes.
  • How much does it cost to attend the event?
    • This event is completely and totally free for you to attend. If you would like to make a donation to support our event, we highly recommend buying raffle tickets at the show!
  • What is the parking situation at this venue?
    • This venue has a parking structure located directly across the street. Please do not park in any marked stalls that are reserved for city officials, as your car will be towed. These spots are located on the first floor of the structure and marked with signs. This parking structure may fill up quickly, and we have been advised that overflow parking is available at the Food-4-Less directly behind the Boys and Girls Club. Please note that The Artist Lodge is not responsible for any damage to cars, theft, or towed vehicles. We have been at this location (located right next to the Sheriff’s station) for almost a year and have never received any complaints about the parking.
  • Can I bring my kids? Is the show stroller friendly? Do you have baby changing stations in the restrooms?
    • This is a family-friendly show and you are welcome to bring your children to the event. We ask that you keep your children supervised at all times and do not allow them to run around freely, or to disturb anything that belongs to the Boys and Girls Club (including and not limited to: the game tables in the lobby and any computers, art/classroom supplies, and books that may be in the classrooms).
    • The show is stroller friendly. Please note that the side entrance to the Club has a 6 inch lip at the door and you will have to lift the stroller to get it in the door. The front entrance has a ramp and smooth entrance that is stroller friendly.
    • Because our venue is a children’s club that caters to young kids and teenagers, it does not have changing tables installed in the restrooms. Please plan accordingly if you will need a changing table at the event.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    • Only service animals are allowed at the venue. Please leave other pets at home.
  • Is the show wheelchair accessible?
    • Yes! The front of the venue is wheelchair accessible with a ramp and smooth entrance, and our vendor room has aisles that are 6-feet wide or more.
  • Can I buy food at this event?
    • The galley will have a limited amount of free refreshments over the course of the evening. We will also have a small snack bar available in the vendor room. There are vending machines on site for snacks and drinks, as well as a water fountain. If you need something more to eat, there is a Food-4-Less and a McDonald’s within a five to ten minute walk from the venue.
  • Are cash or card payments preferred?
    • Both the gallery and the snack bar will take cash and card payments. The raffle will only be accepting cash. The cash or card preference will vary from vendor to vendor.
  • Is there an ATM on site?
    • There is not an ATM on site. The closest ATM is at the Food-4-Less located five minutes away by foot.
  • Does the gallery charge sales tax?
    • Yes, the gallery will be charging the Stanton sales tax rate of 8.75% on all sales.
  • Do the vendors charge sales tax?
    • Yes, the vendors will be charging sales tax. Whether the sales tax is added on or included in the price of their merchandise varies from vendor to vendor.
  • When do the raffle and scavenger hunt drawings happen? Must I be present to win?
    • The raffle drawings happen at 8pm. The scavenger hunt drawing happens right after the raffle drawing, at around 8:15pm. You must be present to win either of these opportunity drawings.
  • Where does the money from the raffle go?
    • The raffle is a wonderful opportunity to take home a pile of artwork and goodies, all of which have been donated by current and past participating artists. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece, and occasionally we will have items that take $2 tickets. All money from the raffle goes right back into creating bigger and better events for you!
  • Does this event have a dress code?
    • This event does not have a dress code. It’s a completely casual event, and we only ask that you keep it family-friendly.
  • Can I cosplay at these events?
    • Yes! You are highly encouraged to cosplay at our events! We only ask that you keep your costumes family-friendly.
  • If I buy a piece of art from the gallery, can I take it home that evening or do I need to have it shipped?
    • Yes, you can take your purchases home that evening. You can either take it when you purchase it, or you can pick it up from the gallery right before you leave the event for the evening. We do not currently offer shipping in our gallery and all artwork will need to be taken home in person the night of the show.
  • Will (insert artist’s name) attend the event?
    • All artist vendors are required to be in attendance the evening of the event. Gallery artists are not required to be in attendance, and unfortunately we can’t always keep track of where our artists are when they do attend! The best way to find our whether or not someone you want to meet will be at the event is to follow their social media and to contact them directly.
  • I love this show so much! Can I volunteer to help at the event?
    • Of course! Please email us directly for volunteer opportunities! We are happy to sign off on forms for academic credit.
